Scott Cowey began his insulation journey in 1983, working for a respected local contractor where he learned the basics of insulation installation and how proper insulation impacts comfort and energy use. Over time, he refined his technique and developed his own approach centered on detail and efficiency. In 1986, while still working for his first company, Scott decided to take the leap and start his own business — and South Central Insulation was born.

In 2018, Scott’s eldest daughter, Teagan Cowey, officially joined the crew. She quickly became his right-hand partner on every job, learning the craft and the values the business was built on. Today, Teagan is preparing to take over the company and continue the Cowey family tradition of honest work and quality service.
